Day 16

Outside, one hour.

It has warmed to near 40 degrees, so it was time break the boredom of riding in the basement... with the spiders.  A little windy, sunny and quiet:

And salty> Sligo creek was like a Vermont back road. The salt trucks dispatched by Montgomery County ("MoCo") deposited hundreds of pounds of salt per square yard of road.  It was like a Bolivian salt mine:

...pummeling the the 0.8" of snow that we've received this month into oblivion.  MoCo gets an A for effort, and a C- for efficiency.  Sorry MoCo.

I have not ridden 16 times this year.  So, has the purpose of this effort been lived up to?  Is something smugly, naively or foolishly called a year in the saddle as success when its efforts will not sum to a year?  The answers are yes.  Before starting this series of posts, I had not ridden since July.  Now, I've ridden 8 times in twice as many days.  Not bad.
